Organic Fenugreek Seed

What is it and how do you use it?
A sweet nutty sprout that is ideal for salads and wraps.

What’s in it?
Its blood sugar-balancing properties make it excellent for diabetics, but care must be taken depending on what type of diabetes medication you are on, so ask your GP first. It has also been suggested that it may be unsuitable for pregnant women, as it can bring on uterine contractions. Also:

  • Good for blood poisoning
  • Failing eyesight
  • Liver and kidney
  • Fever
  • Anaemia
  • Increases mother’s milk production

Who should eat it?
Everyone. It’s so good for you and so easy to grow in about 2 days. Simple!

Why I love it
There isn’t a day goes by when I don’t have around 5 heaped tablespoons of these. I love them. My favourite sprout. And packed with enzymes too.

What will I need to grow it?

This section has taken a great deal of time to compile. Why? Because it had to be right, only guiding you towards products I use myself on a regular basis, or, if it’s irrelevant to me, trusting the word of someone else I know who rates it highly, who has had cause to use the product themselves.

Wherever possible, the products will be organic – always my own personal first choice. If they are not, it’s more than likely that it is unofficially organic – not doused in harmful chemicals and sourced from a small producer who cannot afford the exorbitant costs it can mean to certify a product as organic.

And, wherever relevant, all products are vegan and cruelty-free. (You can’t get a vegan water pick, for example. I did try).

I will NEVER knowingly break these promises. But if you find out that any of the products listed in this section fall below par for whatever reason, please contact me.

And, for your information, some products featured are part of the agreement I have with Amazon Associates. This is an affiliate advertising program, which means that if you buy a product linked to one of my blog posts and decide to buy something from Amazon as a result, I’ll earn a SMALL percentage of the purchase price WITHOUT it costing you anything extra. If you’d prefer not to support It Shouldn’t Happen to a Vegan in this way, you can always search for any products mentioned on Google, rather than buying through my link.

But let it be said that I will NEVER provide links to products purely for reasons of profit. It will be because either I use the product myself, or I know someone personally who has benefitted from it.

Never miss a post!
